HerSong Columbus Story

Columbus, Ohio became Her Song’s second expansion location and a powerful example of how God moves through community to open doors for healing.

The seeds of vision to expand into Columbus were planted in 2020 and came to fruition when we began hiring our team on the ground in 2021, thanks to the support of local church connections and generous donors who shared a heart for providing survivors of human trafficking with life-changing resources. Their passion and collaboration helped lay the foundation for Her Song’s mission to come to life in Ohio.

In 2023, we opened our first safe home in Columbus, followed by a second in 2024—each one serving as a place of safety and transformation for women beginning their healing journey. Today, we are preparing to open a third safe home in 2025, bringing us closer to offering our fully realized three-phase residential program in this region.

With every step, Her Song is growing deeper roots in Columbus—strengthening outreach, building relationships, and expanding our ability to serve more women with compassionate, trauma-informed care. This city continues to play a vital role in advancing our national mission and offering sustainable freedom—one life at a time.
